In the first 25 years of my life, I faced obstacles that take most individuals much longer to come across or usually never do. I have struggled with mental challenges that led to deep dark holes, endured 2 major and 2 minor surgeries, and had to build myself back up every single time.
Many times, these challenges broke me but more often than that they empowered me. I knew these uncontrollable moments were designed to define me and my reaction would determine that definition.
Instead of allowing myself to remain kicked down, I created strategies that pulled me out of the dark mental holes and physical rehabs to repair my body from the surgeries.
Through consistency, a positive mindset and remaining vigilant of my well-being I developed a now very well-known concept, The 6 Pillars of Wellness, which allowed me to remain consistent, grounded and resilient through each challenging moment.
These chapters taught me the true meaning of life, how to properly take care of every component in your well-being, the mental challenges faced when working towards any goal and several other uncharted territories.
If it weren’t for these instances occurring in my life, I would have never been forced to dig deeper within myself and in turn would have never created the concept that has changed mine and now so many others.
And for that I am eternally grateful for my struggles. They give me the experience, strength and authentic resources to assist individuals in achieving their maximum fitness and nutrition potential without falling victim to life’s challenges, mental roadblocks and social stigmas.
